Deck Building & Repair in Vancouver, WA

New builds, full rebuilds, and structural repair — designed for Pacific Northwest weather and permitted where code requires it.

Decks built for our weather

A deck in Clark County lives under nine months of moisture a year. The difference between a deck that lasts fifteen years and one that fails in six is almost never the decking material — it's the ledger flashing, post bases, joist protection, and drainage detail underneath.

We build new decks in composite and cedar, rebuild failing structures, and repair the rot most homeowners only discover when a board gives.

Vancouver deck FAQ

Do I need a permit for a deck in Vancouver, WA?

Generally yes once the deck is over 30 inches above grade or attached to the house. We confirm with the jurisdiction and pull the permit as part of the scope.

Composite or cedar?

Composite costs more up front and nearly eliminates maintenance — a strong fit for our climate. Cedar looks better initially and costs less, but needs sealing every couple of years.

How long does a deck take?

A typical 300–400 sq ft deck runs one to two weeks of build time after permitting, weather permitting.
